The moonshine festival was a two day music, art, and film festival. There was great food, drinks, music, art, it was just a blast with everyone in the southern california surf community out and grooving. This was night 1 and it was a lot more packed then night 2 (most likely because of Jack). The sound at the outdoor ampitheater was just perfect that night. So clear, so crisp, and even though it was packed to the gills, the recording came out so perfect. just the right little amount of distant crowd noise cheering between songs. the lights and the mood made this late summer night show a lot of fun. It's cool also to hear the tommy guerrero guest-ing on bass and the other little 'sit ins'. The show was cool too because it was the first live performance of 'Better Together' and as jack says in the show, he left the next day to fly to hawaii to start on his next album. that album turned out to be 'In Between Dreams' which came out March 1, 2005.
